More Christmas photos from Amy

A still life on top of the meatsafe in the barn; everything was either found around the barn or decorations were made. For example the joy flag garland and the vine Christmas tree in the corner.
The apples were picked off the side of the road and the Christmas bush or more commonly known as native box was from up in our bush.

Our cute new shed do we paint it ? I think we might just leave it.......

Candles in a bovril box.

My little rust painted birds with a nest i found in our garden placed in the willow bird
cage.

Well i survived.....

Some of our Christmas food we had to put in the bath in the barn as there was not enough fridge room......i think there is a first time for everything. It was a fantastic day but once again far too much food it think we had enough to feed an army. Oh well 4 pounds later i still have a smile on my face. Must try and do some walking at the beach to bring it off.
Just look at our sweet table.....omg.

Everyone sizing up their seating positions.....cameras are out. Look at little Ziggy isn't he cute.

Boys trying to pretend they are busy.....he he not a chance.

I will post some more shots in the next couple of days. Off to the races on New Year Day.....more eating no doubt. Oh well what more can i say Happy New Years Everyone and thank you so much for all your support in 2009. Travel safely and enjoy the holidays with your family.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Well its nearly here again. I have only just sat down after 7 hours straight in the kitchen after a busy morning in the shop and then a quick hour whisking around the supermarket to get everything i need. The barn is nearly all set up just a little fine tuning in the morning before all my family arrive. I am a combination of excited and exhausted......but i am sure that tomorrow i will feel revived. Oh by the way i turn 45 years old tomorrow; yeah i know crazy isn't it being born on Christmas Day.......i think mum did extremely well. Well i will let all you guys get back to what ever you were doing and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. Oh i will take lots of photos tomorrow so you will all see the yummy food and all my beautiful family. Goodnight and ho ho ho.

Well Amys photos are just getting better

A classic shot she took when in Byron Bay.........

A photo she took of herself in the mirror.....

Our little Macey as a pup.....

And yes another sheep photo. Tell me what you think so i can show her your comments.

Marley and Lockyer tags now in store......

Tuesday was what you might call crazy in store; so all the other stock that arrived disappeared quickly into the spaces. The only thing i have coming in are linen french toile cushion and others with a stripe, they are all gorgeous. The coat racks are great for hanging school bags coats or just whatever.

We now have a large selection of prints which i have specifically framed with frames and mounts that i choose to suit the print. So you wont see them everywhere.

The french linen and oak chair and behind the Marley and Lockyer tags hanging from the topiary pot.

A close up of the tags.

Some shots of the garden

Well i have decided that gardening is an on-going process and once you start something it just seems to keep going on and on and on. Yes and it is that time again where the garden is needing attention again. The ground is rapidly drying out and the weeds are taking over. So i don't know where the time is going come from.

Some shots looking through the downstairs window.....i love these type of shots.

Another through the french doors of the kitchen / dining area.

Things are definitely heating up

These scissors are walking out the door; beautifully made brass handle scissors that cut so well. They are available in 3 different sizes.
These napkins by Lily & Lulu are just beautiful , fantastic for the Christmas table.

Horn combs all different colours ............

Our new letters have proven to be popular so i will be buying in some single letters as initials.

A view across the shop floor...........Christmas is definitely here people have left there shopping late this year and are rushing in to see whats new. This week we are receiving 2 new pallets of furniture so i will be staking things up to the ceiling.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

Hi everyone;here are some of our new goodies that have just arrived in store. The vintage weight is a great candle holder for coffee table and the heart photo/cardholder is gorgeous for displaying your favourite Christmas cards.

The willow hearts look fab hanging down like in the photos at all different levels but also look great on the Christmas tree in the back ground.

These extra large block printed cushions are beautiful made with mud and clay colours. They make great floor cushions.

These are some of Emma's wreaths that are flying out the door for festive decorations. They would also be great for Weddings or other occasions. Next week the store will be stocked to the ceiling with so much stock ; two more shipments coming......where am i going to put it all?

Inside our little barn

Restoration on the French tool bench is coming along well; Skip has always wanted one so he is making sure he does the best job.
Sorry i loaded this the wrong way up , in a rush to get to work.....Part of the main area set up.

Looking out the window of the barn; really happy with this shot.

Skip sorting out box number 25........

The French oak table that i have just finished.

pretty in pink and roses

Today has been freezing but skip and i have been working up in the barn doing up furniture; so quite a productive day. I have completed two french tables which are beautiful and have turned out better than i have expected and Skip has been doing up a french antique tool bench which came out of the same container. I will show you some photos later. So i decided on doing a pretty post seeing that we have been both up cleaning the barn and restoring and basically getting dirty and both smelling of metho and linseed oil.
This is my pheasant design antique china which i absolutely love.

A vintage photo of my late father in law when he was a baby; saved from being thrown out.

One of a pair of early jugs given to me by my mother.

And last but not least a lovely bunch of roses picked from my garden.

Wow our marble pears......

Our new marble pears are already flying out the door, and surprisingly the largest and naturally the most expensive is selling first. They are solid marble with a rusty nail as the stalk; really cute.
Our new industrial letters are already creating a stir. We have one set spelling 'home' and another 'love' and just a single 'm'. They are quite large about 1 foot by 1 foot.....so quite a statement.
This will show you the size difference between the smallest and the largest pears. They weigh a tonne.

The tolix chairs look great and are so well made; really happy with this supplier.

A view across the counter to the front window. Well what a busy week between serving customers to unpacking stock and Emma preparing for the Niche market which was on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; i hope she goes well because she tries so hard and deserves to do well. Next week we are expecting even more stock from mainly New Zealand suppliers who i will tell you are great at what they do.....they give us Aussies a run for our money .Well i may do a Sunday post depending on how we go with preparing the barn for our Christmas festivities; cannot wait for it to be all sorted . So i may give you a sneak preview of our progress....or i may leave it to the end when it is all ready, i will wait and see. Have a great weekend one and all.....
