Preparations for our trip....

Time is ticking on, and preparing for our trip, takes lots of organizing and juggling. Working out where to go first, and where to stay. As this is our first trip overseas together we want to get things right. Although we wont be spending a fortune on accommodation we want somewhere central in the towns we have selected ; so we can get a feel for the village atmosphere. The above chateau is truly magnificent but i cant see us staying anywhere quite so opulent.
I am getting quite excited about seeing some European fashion. I have followed fashion since i was a young teenager and find what people wear quite fascinating. The above styling comes from a gorgeous store which i hope to visit when i am there.

Some more examples of French shop fronts......Don't worry i will have my camera clicking all the time....there will be lots for you to see i promise.

Hi Amanda,
I have had many visits to France and I am sure you will love it! One town in the South of France that I can highly recommend is "Uzes"....we have been there 3 times....I love it!!!
I know it is hard to go every where and see everything and you possibly have you plans firmly set in place, but if you find yourself anywhere near Uzes pop in for a visit....you will be pleased you did!

Enjoy!!!

Have fun choosing and deciding...one tip..when you choose accommodation in a hotel near the main train station of a village, you will be in the center of the village a lot of the times...since this is where it originated from.should you be travveling by train from village to village, it makes it easier to just get to and from with your luggage, and most buses leave here as well. of course by vehicle is a good option between villages and then again one would like to stay where your vehicle can be parked safely at night. Staying in apartments when you are in a place for longer than 5 days or a week, is more cost effective, plenty around and allows you to cater for yourself should you choose to.you will enjoy your visit! looking forward to hear about it! xo Colette ~ Afrique du Sud

Ah, I, will urge you also to visit Uzès. Our region is gorgeous with so many things to do. Yes, L'atelier des Ours is a delight with its sand floors, charming antiques, and delightful clothing. But, that is not all---the market is to dream about and the neighboring Pont du Gard is not to be missed. Let me know if you need more ideas of places to visit here.

Hello to you.
Will you be coming to Brittany because if so I have friends who own a manoir which I know you'd love to stay at.
Have a look for Manoir de Kerledan.

I shall be very interested to follow your progress in France.

Oh, I am quite jealous of your impending trip to France! If you visit such shops I am sure you will have the most fabulous time. And I agree, you don't need to stay in opulance to appreciate the villages. Have a great week, Tammy

Reveling in your site - newly found for me - about a month ago, or so. Love your surroundings, shop and look so forward to seeing photos of places you visit on your excursion! ENJOY!
