Gearing up for Christmas....

 Can you believe that Christmas time is nearly upon us and it is time for us to start thinking of plans for Christmas and forms of giving......I cant believe it or maybe i just don't want to.  Christmas is always a busy time for our family with things getting busy in store, my husband in a hurry to complete many building contracts and my daughters; one with exams and the other working in the hospitality industry; crazy.  Then on top of that i have to think about Christmas at home....what to cook; what gifts to give ( although i don't have to go far for mine...) and getting everything tidy at home ready for entertaining. I hope you have started planning your special Christmas......

 Just going through my blog posts and realised its been its over a month since you have stepped inside The Vintage Rose.  Nearly everyday we are receiving new items, which is very exciting.....the screen in the background of the above photo is new and so is the vintage trunk, chandelier, and silver vases.

 We stock a good selection of antlers and taxidermy; but new pieces will be arriving soon....

Here we are again......

 Middle of the year already and sitting around cosy wood fires looking at what we can do to improve our nests .....Home is somewhere where we can come home relax from a hectic day at work; so its nice to have it peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by things that you enjoy to look at.  We have been busy making suggestions to customers on how they can better improve their room over these Winter months; after all we do spend more time indoors.  Paint a feature wall ; change a picture for a mirror to reflect the outdoors.  Each time we re-merchandise the store we have been changing our feature panel; and this time it features a popular grey tone.  These colours can come blue based or green based.....and depending on what room you choose to use these tones depends on what base you should use.

 Meet Harold the hare; he has been hanging out with me in the shop all day; probably too scared to go home in fear of what the rest of the family think......i think they think i have gone hopping mad.  Oh well .....i like him.

Our new look shop.......

 So sorry i have been so slack with my blog lately its just we have been busy getting ready for our change around and introducing all our great new stock.

 The shop was shut for a few days so we could juggle and squish all our new products in and around what was left over from our sale.  So here a few pics to give you an idea of what we have done.

 Our new screen divider provides a great prop for putting bits behind and in front of.....do you like the vintage wall paper?
