Loving the outdoors....

Because i have been madly working in  our new garden; the brain has been working over drive as to what plants and where to place them.  We have been moving lots of the larger trees and shrubs around as they were in the wrong place for our plans for a new patio, outdoor entertaining area.  Which i think you will agree, every house needs.  We have our large outdoor table and chairs which we need to find a new home for....so the patio seemed a good solution.  Its an extremely daunting task moving plants that someone else has lovingly placed and cared for.  And i can honestly say it wasnt an easy thing to do....but i guess when you live differently to the person living in the house before you, changes are sometimes inevitable.  Into the night we worked, carefully lifting and re-postiting large magnolias, etc; and i must say once it was done, i felt a lot better.
Here are some shots i have been looking at for inspiration.  I wish i had room for a little garden shed like the one in the above photo; but the garden is small and so a simple plan is on the cards....
Certainly havent got this sort of room; but isnt it lovely.....
This is what we are planning for our outdoor area out from the french doors from the kitchen.
And later i wouldnt mind a simple iron frame over the patio; like this one in the photo above.
Outdoor fireplace...once again not the room; maybe a pizza oven.  It sounds like a whole lot of dreaming doesnt  it, but trust me it is happening, and like everything involving old houses and gardens, they all take time and patience.
