More new stock....

Well i am so sorry it has been so long since i have done a post...well you guessed it computer problems. Its all sorted now i hope because boy are they a frustrating tool...and sometimes a real time waster. These hampers have just arrived back into store as requested, they are just great for any type of storage. With a cut sheet of thick glass on the top they also make a wonderful coffee table.
A close up shot of one of the emblems on our book boxes.....also great for hiding things.

Soon due to arrive more clothing.....cant wait.

A print i have specially framed to my design, exclusive to my store. Love this so much and wow it certainly makes a statement.

I am letting everyone know i am having a Winters Evening in store to celebrate the arrival of all our new stock lines and would love for all my customers and blogging friends to come. Its on the 22nd of July from 4pm onwards and if you could RSVP to my store at 37 Tamar Street, Launceston Tasmania 7250,that would be great. I will need to know roughly what numbers are coming. If you pop in their will be invitations available for you to have. I will post a picture of them online. Take care...and if i don't do a post tomorrow it will because i will be spending time with my gorgeous husband who i love so much....its our 20th Wedding Anniversary.

Thankyou Irene

The beautiful Irene from the amazing Valdirose has done a gorgeous post on my blogsite. And wow what a fantastic job she has done. Please go to her site because she is an amazing photographer and just her eye for detail and the way she puts things together is a credit to her. Also a big thanks to all the comments left on her site from the post of The Vintage Rose; such kind and encouraging words.....thankyou all so much.

Having a change around.....

This shot is taken from the front of the store, looking across to the store-room corner. I love this re-cycled elm console bench; would be great in a kitchen with all the bowls, jugs and plates stacked up. Maybe it would look good full of books; its just one of those pieces of furniture that would look good anywhere.
I also love the new room divider/screen in a beautiful french blue green colour.

The vintage hooks are great in any hall, bedroom or bathroom; useful for hanging clothes, jewellery or bags or simply coats or towels . So handy for any purpose.

The rustic vintage chair i finished off on Monday....would look good with any other blue accents. And look my dress form is so handy for hanging bags and jewellery.

Too much to do not enough time

Well i think all of us suffer with too much to do, with not enough time to do it all in. When things are a little slower at work, i feel like i am waisting time as i have so many things to restore at home. Today i started to do up some bits.....the sun was shining so it was an ideal opportuntity to get into some things that have been stored and waiting for my attention. Oh well, better late than never.
This sideboard in this photo i painted and distressed because it didnt suit the room. Such a handy piece of furniture for storage and stacking plates etc.
This shot looking from the front door you can see all my vintage family photos on the wall. All these frames i also painted cream to go with other things....it seemed to be the most obvious colour.

This is pretty much what we have been waking up to every morning. We have had some bumper frosts but the days have been lovely and still. I must say i don't mind the weather like this at all. Well i better sign off so i can load up the car ready for tomorrow.

Some inspiration

I love the simplicity of this kitchen. It reminds me a bit of my old kitchen when i cooked only with a wood fired oven. People would have thought me to be a little crazy until they tried my lamb roasts or my homemade bread.
Nice to add some touches of green to a white kitchen; always looks fresh.

Look at this beautiful winter project; inspires me to do some patchwork that i haven't done in years. Love the mono gramme on the front.
