I would love to find a dress form like the one in the above photo...dream on Amanda. I guess because i am a dress designer by trade i have always been fascinated with the vintage dress makers form, in fact anything to do with sewing.
These two beauties are simply gorgeous....yes i know you all think the same. I will post soon shots of all my new things that are shortly to arrive.
I love dress froms to! I have one like the first picture, my mother in-law bought for me! Note: It's the only thing in the 12 years I've known her that she's ever bought me! So I was really shocked when she got it for me! It even came with the paper work where the owner had odered it through the mail! I love her! Here's hoping you find one in the most unexpected place! And soon!

oh wow, those are beautiful. right now I work with an Old plus size dress form with the fuzzy stuff slowly coming off her shoulder. She get's the job done, but lacks any of that rustic beauty of the ones you have shared!
ReplyDeleteI too, LOVE dress forms. Last year I bought a lot of 14 for $200! I sold the ones I didn't want and kept two...making my money back 2x's!
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda, They are gorgeous.... can't say I have seen one to buy.... the closest thing I have in the shop at the moment is my Victorian Mannequin - a pic is on my blog. Take care, Cathy
