Your house and shop are truly lovely, its nice to find specialty shops in Australia. I have a lovely little shop in Perth West Aust with my daughter. We specialise in alternative art, I make a lot of vintage art when I get the time. I also started a Vintage Market with my sister at the end of October, our hall looked amazing, all vintage with lots of white. It is nice to be able to direct customers to other nice shops when they go on holidays. I must say I totally agree with you regarding the Christmas hype, I am making a new commitment and only buy food that I know that I will use each week, not to throw out so much, and think of those in poorer countries.Jackyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02275860095309949319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4668515386568987329.post-82267765321135505092010-01-01T23:31:29.565-08:002010-01-01T23:31:29.565-08:00Hi Amanda,

It's so easy to get wrapped up in things - going from one thing to the next and not taking the time to appreciate and take a deep breath in between. I have not made any New Year's resolutions as I think they were made to be broken, but I'm going to try and see the positive side of things as I think it's sometimes easy to look at the negative. Enjoy your time away from the shop - I'm enjoying my time not having to worry about lunch boxes and running to the time all the time and after school sports....yes, would you believe I've made a little time to get out in the garden!
Take care
Janine
XXOOJanine Marshallnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4668515386568987329.post-60554571249702504002010-01-01T22:41:23.111-08:002010-01-01T22:41:23.111-08:00Happy New Year Amanda. I pity anyone who thinks about their workplace on their deathbed! xxJosephine Tale Peddlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16431330956687490112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4668515386568987329.post-51385087716943418762010-01-01T19:34:52.404-08:002010-01-01T19:34:52.404-08:00my friend has a wise saying and that is that he wo...my friend has a wise saying and that is that he works to live, not lives to work ~ and I think that he has it perfectly correct !! ~ for quite a few years now, my motto has been SIMPLE...
